Karaffu is the new café pop-up everyone in Salzburg is talking about right now. The concept originally comes from Innsbruck and has now landed at a small spot on General-Keyes-Straße, between Lehen and Itzling. Specialty coffee, premium matcha and vegan baked goods in a minimalist space that looks like it was lifted straight from an Instagram feed.
Weekday mornings are the chillest – on weekends a queue builds up fast because the place is genuinely small. The combo everyone goes for: pistachio croissant with a strawberry matcha. The city library is right around the corner, perfect for after. To-go works too, in case there’s no seat inside.
Specialty coffee, matcha in every variation and vegan cakes – pistachio runs through as a recurring theme. Minimalist, modern, very photogenic.
Mid-range. A specialty coffee plus a slice of cake usually lands between €8 and €11 – fair for the quality.
