The Hintersee in the Felbertal is a picturesque mountain lake at 1,313 meters above sea level, surrounded by the impressive peaks of the Hohe Tauern. The lake was formed in 1495 by a rockfall and is about 300 meters long and 200 meters wide. The circular trail around the lake takes you through breathtaking landscapes with dense forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Several longer and more challenging hikes also start from here, making it perfect for nature and mountain enthusiasts.
