The Krimml Waterfalls are the highest waterfalls in Austria and are one of the most impressive natural wonders in the Alps. With a total height of 380 meters in three stages, they offer a spectacular natural spectacle. The waterfall path runs directly along the roaring waters and provides numerous viewpoints for breathtaking photos.
As a local, I can tell you that it’s worth visiting early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. The higher you go, the quieter it becomes. The upper stages of the waterfall are often less crowded and offer fantastic views of the surrounding mountain landscape. Another tip: bring a picnic and enjoy it in one of the quieter corners.
